Meeting held April 29, 1993, at Jack Straw Studios, Seattle, Wa.
The PNW Section held a slightly different kind of meeting for April - not a technical presentation, but lots of near-field monitor speakers. Section Vice-chair Van Browne organized an informal evening of near-field loudspeaker listening, held at the Jack Straw Productions studios. Over two dozen people came to take advantage of the opportunity.
Many of the most popular such speakers were gathered from local vendors, including JBL, Tannoy, Genelec, Yamaha and KRK. Rane provided amplifiers for the unpowered speakers. The speakers were all set up on a large table, and attendees could sit where they wished and play CDs of their choice. Any clear winners? You had to be there! Also, our thanks to Doug Haire of Jack Straw and committee member Tom Stiles for helping get this all together.
